Volcom is an American lifestyle brand created in 1991 by riders and friends Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall. They had the idea of starting a clothing company during a snowboard trip and later the same year they established the brand based around the three sports they enjoyed: snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing. Volcom was the first company to combine surfing, skating and snowboarding apparel, outerwear, footwear and accessories under one brand. Since 2011 Volcom is part of the Kering Group.
